Entally Estate Wine

Dating back to 1855.

Grapes were introduced to Entally in 1855, when the glass Conservatory was built by Thomas Reibey III.

The Conservatory was divided into two sections with mostly flowers in the front section, and grapes & camellias in the rear. Photos taken in the rear section in 1859 show well established plants & grape vines, whereas a later photo taken in the 1900’s show the grape vines climbing through the walls.

Being a fan of a good tipple, Thomas III created his own wine to serve to the multitudes of guests he hosted at Entally. To honour Thomas III’s commitment to homegrown wine, in 2005 the (then) lessee Gunns Pty Ltd planted a five acre vineyard of pinot grapes, on the southern side of the Estate.

Today, our vines have matured beautifully, and produce incredible, well rounded flavours. Our current range includes Pinot Noir, sparkling Cuveé, sparkling Rosé, and a (limited edition) still Rosé.
